ok, for all you Pinterest Peoples...I just want you to know that I'm fighting my addiction. At least to Pinterest. I make myself choose something TO DO or TO MAKE out of the 'pins' for that day. So, this is my 'toffee bark' I made for book club. It may be a NEW addiction. This was super easy. Let me know if you want the recipe. But, I'm sure you can find it on Pinterest!!!

Still Waters
I may have to change my blog title from Austin Nana to Wandering Nana. These are just some random photos from Huntsville State Park last week. We were on the lookout for alligators and 'escaped' convicts from the nearby prison! But really no sitings!
The view from our campsite.
He leads me beside still waters. Psalm 23:2
home away from home, the R-pod.
The paddle boats not available for rentals until March! Too bad!
Wm's 'office' for the week
Below, our 6.8 mile 'hike'. The 'boardwalk' went over the marshy areas, where we thought we may see an alligator or two. No such luck.

My favorite time of the year
runs between the last week of February and the first week of May in Texas! We are living in Huntsville State Park this week. Our R-pod has now had about 3 trips and it is an amazing little thing to eat, sleep and work from. All the fresh air has been such a soul rest. We can work because we have wifi at certain wonderful places (this first picture shows a view from one of them). I'm working on continuing education classes for real estate and nursing. Also finished up my book club book, Still Alice. William is doing his work at this picnic table most of today. It's sunny and 75 degrees. PERFECT.

The picture below shows the view from our R-pod trailer.

I have this problem
every night about 8 pm.
Tonight, I ran out of my chocolate chips, so used the William Sonoma shaved salted caramel chocolate Kristen gave me for Christmas. Very yummy substitute. Makes me want s'more.
So I think I will.
This was fun...easy way to post because I shared my phone picture thru google+... no usb cords needed to connect my phone to my mac. LOVE it. And I did it all by myself.

trying to consolidate!
boy, oh, boy. Just so glad I left facebook...thought I would 'get away' from it all, then started playing around with google +! Where does this rabbit hole end? Anyway, with Pinterest and google +, just know I will have to really watch how I spend my free time. Did finally figure out how to MOVE my austin nana blog over to my newer gmail account. Hopeful this will help with getting photos from my phone onto computer and into my blog posts. Was going crazy signing in and out of 2 gmail accounts.
ok, just rambling now.

3 words:
Busy, busy, busy.
That's what the last week has been like over at the McKinney House. Truly got to be the Austin Nana with the Austin Papa while Kristen and Jeff took a fun filled trip to Hawaii!!! We had our own kinda 'trip' going on here.
Kristen gave me one page of the activities I would, should and most certainly could expect for at least the 12 hours that little Gohean girls are awake. I meant to take a picture of that one page with tiny print, but I forgot to do so. We have loved every minute of the last week. I have not slept this well in months.
I will try to recap as best I can remember.
It WAS the week before Valentines Day, so of course we were quite busy with Valentine making. I felt sorry for Annie having to scrape the glitter off her toenails to put on her Valentines (as posted by her mother last week on her blog) , so I got Annie a very special set of glitter glue. Here she is, under my 'very close' supervision.
More Valentine making activity...
We had a great week! When we couldn't find Meg, she was always in Papa's study playing with the cars and the race track. She slept anywhere from 11-12 hours every night (thanks for getting her weaned and ready for this, Kristen!) Annie was a huge help and acted as translator for Meg as needed. We know we didn't get the green veggies in and I know I forgot the vitamins...but we did hugs, kisses, books, Mary Poppins movie, all our favorite restaurants, bike rides, crafts, park time, hide and seek, macaroni and cheese, fruits and giggles we could stand. PLUS Tia and Max came over to make cute little people crafts with us.

Papa has an idea that maybe standing up at his work station will help with his back pain... so he ordered this special table from Crate and Barrel. He was able to pick it up and put it all together on Saturday morning.
Meg had fun with the box for at least 4 minutes.
One morning, Annie and I made cute little cinnamon rolls. This was really fun, and oh, so good to eat! This girl could make them on her own tomorrow. She has a memory and visual memory that blows me away. She told me EXACTLY how to get to her Preschool the first morning. She expressed a slight concern that Nana may not know the way.
