I have thoroughly enjoyed each stage of my life, but I've got to say that these mid-life years are really, really nice. Thanks for stopping by to check on this Austin Nana. I like the real thing, though, so come on! Drop by for a coffee date with me sometime soon.

Girlfriends Getaway
Michelle and I met in Denver/Highlands Ranch about 15 years ago. We were both new to the area and met up in a Bible Study. Immediately we became great friends. She's always been interested in what is going on in my life and asks lots of questions. The amazing thing to me is how MUCH she remembers the details! We get to see each other at least once a year. Now we are both in the 'all the kids are married' and are both 'grandmothers' we have even more fun to share in common. She came down to visit me in Austin and we took a couple of days to explore central TX area. Tuesday we went to Gruene and ate at the Gristmill. Wednesday am we got up and headed to Waco for a couple of days. She's always loved the Fixer Upper so we dropped into the Magnolia store. The rest of the time we took a walk along the river, shopped in some antique stores (Junque Queen and Junque in the Trunk, etc), drove by the first home Wm and I purchased in 1980, ate at George's (BIG disappointment by the way), Chuy's (always GREAT) and I promise you, we were talking every minute we were together.
