The best is yet to come!

I have thoroughly enjoyed each stage of my life, but I've got to say that these mid-life years are really, really nice. Thanks for stopping by to check on this Austin Nana. I like the real thing, though, so come on! Drop by for a coffee date with me sometime soon.

"4"

Tyler recently turned 4 years old on June 22. We get to see him about twice a year and I'm always amazed at how much he has grown...physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually...He brings smiles to all of us! He's into legos, cars, race tracks, drawing, running around, being a big brother, being a helper and singing songs. He has a little dramatic flair to his personality which you can see all over his facial expressions and in his body language. Very polite with 'yes, please' or 'no, thanks'. Or simply 'thanks!' He seems to love his cousins and his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Like most of his generation, he's very in touch with his 'itouch' and ipad stories and games and movies. I used to think he was a lot like his Dad, but honestly, the more I get to know his mom over the years, I see her personality woven into him, too. Definitely a happy mix of both!
At just 4 years old, he's already lived in 4 countries, the good old USA, Ireland, Singapore and now Australia. I'm not even sure how many countries he's visited by this point! Just make sure you make it back to see us at least once a year. We sure do love you, Tyler!

Happy 4th Birthday!

  1. Precious...I woke up the other morning, for some reason, the picture in my head was Kenny standing on the steps at UT with Patrick. Kenny had just played his recital on a grand piano at UT and Patrick had gone with him.

Wow...time flies, Kenny never plays the piano and Patrick lives half way around the world...who would have imagined?

God is faithful and they both are wonderful young men and look Patrick with a four year old son of his own.

    1. Patrick doesn't play the piano any more, either! But, yes, they are wonderful men, blessed indeed! Time is a flying. :)
