Orange juice, OFF spray, Orange cinnamon rolls, and what started as a list of 3 items quickly added up to enough to be billed for about $52. How does that happen?
The sweet little clerk was kind enough to ask if I had a Brookshire's card. I replied, "no, I don't..."
Thinking I had simply misplaced it, she offered to look it up for me by telephone number.
I told her, "I really just don't have one." Since she looked so astonished, I felt like I needed to offer an explanation.
"I'm from Austin and we don't have a Brookshire's there." She said something to the effect of, "Are you sure?? Brookshire's is everywhere." All this with a sweet Texan accent. (Which I DON'T have)
Wills Point is just about 10 minutes away from our campsite and it is really a busy little town. William and I worked outside the Bruce and Human Pharmacy and Christian Bookstore with wifi service almost all day. It sits on a busy corner of a red bricked little main street with very old brick buildings. Most of them have signs painted directly onto the brick...like Rose Dry Goods.
When we got 'home' to the R Pod, the weather was so nice, I got out and experimented with my camera. This Texas spring has really been beautiful.
